The bioeconomy can transform our day-to-day lives in a multitude of aspects: from the way we pack our food, to the clothes we decide to buy and wear. Knowing the ins and outs of the bio-based economy, though, can be tricky. That’s where AllThings.Bio can come to your aid!

Funded by Horizon 2020 Allthings.bioPRO, a collection of up-to-date, fresh and engaging media is being built to help citizens navigate the bioeconomy world with confidence and competence. They can be accessed via the freshly renovated portal, www.allthings.bio, where articles and interactive media are available.

The project will focus on four main themes, namely bio-based food packaging, sustainable fashion and textiles, bio-based products for kids and schools and the jobs and careers in the bioeconomy.

You can learn more about the project through a presentation video, plus follow the project on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The project is now in the middle of the co-creation process to build a serious game and mobile application with the input of citizens: regional partners are working closely with local communities to learn about the expectations of citizens and their most pressing concerns with regard to the bioeconomy.

VA (Public & Science) is one of twelve European project partners in the AllThings.BioPRO project and is particularly involved in developing the game mission around sustainable fashion and textiles as well as dissemination activities. Focus groups are currently being held in Sweden, in which ideas and views are being collected to inform the development of the game, a mobile app and communications materials.
