Join us for a half-day online conference to explore how universities can become anchor institutions within their local areas, strengthening their connection with their local communities and engaging them in their activities. We’ll be exploring concepts such as “civic universities” and “public engagement” in discussion with representatives from Swedish and British organisations. Inspiring examples of ways in which universities are undertaking place-based engagement to work closely with their communities will also be showcased.
The conference is being jointly organised by Vetenskap & Allmänhet and Unilink.
The intention is to investigate these approaches in more depth during a study trip to Scotland, which UniLink plans to undertake in spring 2021, circumstances permitting.
