Register to join the discussion in the online science cafe on resilience in a chaotic world, Friday 30 September at 14-15.00 (CET)

Twenty-five countries will be participating in this year’s European Researchers’ Night (ERN) on Friday 30 September. From Iceland to Italy, Poland to Portugal, Malta to Montenegro, researchers will be filling streets, schools, universities and public venues with activities designed to showcase the impact of science on citizens’ daily lives.

Over 1 million visitors across Europe are expected to participate in activities hosted by researchers including science shows, hands-on experiments, games, quizzes, competitions, exhibitions, discussions and digital activities.

For the third year, VA (Public & Science) is collaborating with other Researchers’ Night coordinators to offer a number of Europe-wide activities. An online science cafe on “resilience in a chaotic world” will involve researchers from three countries to explore how knowledge and culture can help tackle the many challenges that society currently faces. Anyone is welcome to register to join the discussion online (to be held in English) on Friday 30 September at 14-15.00 (CET).

You can also meet researchers from different European countries in short videos where they will be talking about their work as a researcher and what inspires them.

The #MeetTheResearcher videos will be shared via social media during two weeks running up to ERN.
